The World Meteorological Organization announced that 2020 could become the second warmest year since 1850 when modern temperature records began.

The average global temperature in 2020 is about 1.2 °C above the pre-industrial level. Scientists have suggested to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 °C to protect our planet. What is 1.2 °C in °F? Use 1°F = 5/9°C.

  1. 0.666°F
  2. 0.833°F
  3. 2.16 °F
  4. 2.7 °F

Answer

1°F = 5/9°C

X°F = 1.2°C
