Thanks to all who purchased our recycled crayons and supported our school supply recycling program and crayon recycling program, we were able to raise $500 for local teachers. We launched a Teacher Supplies $100 Grant Program and would like to provide $100 (in cash) for five teachers in Warrick County to support their educational spending.
If you are a teacher of one of the schools (k-12 / public / private / special education) located in Warrick County and interested in receiving the grant, please send a form below. The submission deadline is 6pm, April 30, 2020. Grant recipients will be announced on the National Teachers Day, May 5, 2020, on our Facebook page.
2020 School supply recycling program
Blueggs decided to keep going and collect used school supplies to help children in need. Given an assumption that the unemployment rate could rise, this community is more likely to have more parents who have to face financial challenges. We’d like to help in any way that we can.
We will place recycling bins at John H. Castle and Chandler Elementary before clean-up days. Please use these recycling bins and donate used/unused supplies.
After sorting, cleaning and sanitizing the collected items, we will donate unused school supplies to children in need in partnership with the God Is Good Foundation Newburgh. We donate gently used school supplies to local teachers by using Facebook. We will also recycle used crayons to raise money for local teachers.
Thank you teachers for being so flexible and working hard to develop virtual schooling during these challenging and uncertain times.
Please stay safe and healthy.
